PondToss actively consumes organic waste and uneaten food, preventing the accumulation of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate — substances that can become toxic, cause health problems, and are difficult to remove. This waste conversion into valuable bacterial biomass improves Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR). It serves as a protein-rich food source, leading to reduced sludge, improved water quality, and increased profitability. The decrease in organic waste not only contributes to enhanced pond bottoms but also results in decreased labor costs and reduced pollution. The improved water quality further reduces the need for water exchanges, increasing biosecurity measures.

Physical Specs

PondToss is available in 1 kg or 11 kg buckets. Each bucket contains pre-portioned water-soluble bags, each weighing 250 grams. These bags dissolve in less than a minute, quickly releasing their contents near the surface for rapid and convenient dispersal.

Application Rate

Evenly distribute PondToss over water surface. As the water-soluble bags dissolve, PondToss disperses throughout the water column and across the pond bottom.

Initial Dosage:
1 kg (4 bags) per hectare every 3 days, for 10 days.

Maintenance Dosage:
0.5 kg (2 bags) per hectare once every 5 days throughout the remaining growth cycle.

Tip:

Storage and Handling

Keep plastic bucket tightly closed to protect PondToss bags from ambient humidity and rainfall. Store indoors, in a cool, dry place. Protect from freezing. Avoid inhalation and eye contact. After handling PondToss, wash hands thoroughly with warm, soapy water.

No refrigeration required. PondToss remains viable at room temperature (25°C) for over 2 years.

AMMONIA AND NITRITE REDUCTION IN PONDS

In aquaculture, poor water quality stands as a pervasive challenge for farmers globally. Crop failures often stem from toxic ammonia and nitrite levels, yet these issues can be readily addressed. Probiotic bacteria play a crucial role by directly consuming ammonia and nitrite from the water column as part of their normal metabolic process. The toxic compounds are converted into bacterial biomass and removed from the usual nitrification process, effectively removing the toxic compounds and mitigating their harmful effects.
