The Keeton team recently returned from a productive trip to Ecuador, where we attended AquaExpo 2024. In addition to presenting a talk at the congress, we visited shrimp farms to deliver technical presentations on the effectiveness of our products and proven dosing strategies in shrimp farm applications.

We brought farm samples back to our laboratory for analysis. Water samples will be plated on TCBS media to look for vibrio and on TSA agar to look for unselected bacteria. The vibrio will be identified and included in inhibition tests with our products and if needed with our bank of probiotics. We will also screen for gram-positive bacteria and test them against the vibrio isolated from Ecuador.

Once data analysis is complete, we will report findings back to the farms and develop tailored strategies to support the health of their ponds and animals.
